Movember 2025
Movember is a global men’s health initiative that brings attention to prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention. It's a powerful reminder that early detection and proactive health decisions can save men’s lives.
Research consistently shows that men are less likely to seek medical attention; Canadian men visit their family doctors 30% less than women, nearly 40% of men admit to only seeing a doctor when they think they have a serious medical condition.1
When caught early, prostate and testicular cancers are some of the most treatable cancers:
- Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in men and has a five-year survival rate of nearly 100%.2
 - Testicular cancer has a 95% five-year survival rate when caught in time.1

These numbers are reassuring, but they also highlight the importance of vigilance and regular screenings.
Despite physical health gains, mental health remains a serious concern. Males make up approximately half of the population, but they account for nearly 75% of suicides in Canada.3
Movember helps break stigma around mental health and physical health, and in doing so saves lives. This November, support yourself, and your loved ones with tools that promote both prevention and protection.
