BRIEF DESCRIPTION:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced individual to join our company as a Life & Health Claims Examiner. This is a Hybrid position with the expectation of 3 days in-office work.

Job Description:

• Adjudicate Accident & Health claims, e.g. AD&D, temporary and permanent disability, critical illness, and travel.

• Perform Claims Case Management, request and follow up claim documents, medical reports, document claim synopsis and decision with a Case Management Plan

• Reinsurance claims experience is an asset.

• Ensure that company claims protocols and guidelines are adhered to throughout the claims handling process.

• Set and monitor loss and expense reserves.

• Liaise with underwriters, brokers and various other stakeholders in a professional and efficient manner.

• Experience working with Lloyd’s is an asset.

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong investigative and analytical skills including understanding policy wordings.

• Effective interpersonal and relationship building skills.

• Able to work independently within the overall team environment.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet various deadlines and stay organized.

• Multi-tasking and case management abilities

education:

• 3+ years of Accident & Health claims experience.  Commercial P&C experience is an asset.

• College diploma or a university degree.

• Bilingual (English/French) preferred.

salary range:

The expected salary range for this position is from $65,000 – $75,000 and will be influenced by factors such as the candidate’s skill and experience.
