Sutton Special Risk Welcomes Olympic Medalist

Sutton Special Risk is pleased to announce that two-time Olympic gold medalist, Rebecca Johnston, has joined the Sutton team in the role of Communications Coordinator. Rebecca is a member of the Canadian National Women’s Team and represented Canada in gold medal wins in both the 2010 and 2014 Olympics.

Rebecca holds a Degree in Communications from Cornell University and played hockey for the Cornell Big Red women’s hockey team. In her first year at Cornell, she was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year and to the Ivy League First All-Star Team. By her Senior year, Rebecca was named First Team All-American and Cornell Senior Female Athlete of the Year. Rebecca has contributed to numerous other medals for Canada’s National Team in IIHF Championships, MLP Nations Cup and Women’s 4 Nations Cup tournaments.

In her role at Sutton, Rebecca will assist the marketing team by enhancing and managing strategic communications and customer relations, in addition to supporting the Sutton sales team in further expanding our Amateur Sports business.

Rebecca’s goal is to continue to play for Team Canada and compete in the next winter Olympics in 2018 in PyeongChang, South Korea. This upcoming season she will be playing for the Calgary Inferno in the Candian Womens Hockey League (CWHL).
